That’s A Wrap on 2025!

18 December 2025

As the year comes to an end and we break for the festive season, we would like to take this opportunity to reflect on Cognition Land and Water’s achievements this year. Cognition has worked on many exciting and challenging projects in 2025. A few examples of our major projects this year include:

  • King’s Road Park, Phase 4, Fulham, on behalf of St William Homes
  • Meridian Water Strategic Infrastructure Works (SIW), on behalf of Taylor Woodrow
  • Bow Common - Phase 2, on behalf St William/St James
  • Phase 3 of the Ironbridge Power Station redevelopment, on behalf of Harworth Group
  • Northstowe Pond 5/Phase 2C, on behalf of Homes England
  • Ashington in West Sussex, on behalf of Elivia Homes

We are deeply grateful for the trust our clients place in us, and we look to our continued partnership with them in the new year.

2025 marked a major milestone for us - 20 years of Cognition Land and Water delivering high-quality remediation and complex civil engineering solutions across the UK. Cognition began with the vision of our founders who understood the need to deliver bespoke, innovative, and sustainable solutions to complex civil engineering and remediation projects. Their vision laid the groundwork for what would become a trusted name in our industry and preferred contractor for many of our clients.

Cognition was a finalist for multiple awards this year and we were honoured to receive the Demolition & Enabling Specialist of the Year Award at the CN Specialists Awards – a truly amazing way to mark our 20th anniversary. We are so proud of this amazing achievement, and we would like to thank our team at Cognition for making this possible!

Part of our mission is to generate lasting social value for the communities we operate in. To that end, we hosted our largest ever charity fundraising event in September, ‘Carbon Neutral from London to Paris’. The event was in support of The Lily Foundation, a leading UK charity dedicated to fighting mitochondrial disease. We are proud to have raised almost £18,000 for this amazing charity! Additionally, we made donations and contributions to other fundraising events and community projects throughout the year including the playground construction at Lift Academy (in partnership with the Meridian Water SIW team), hosting school visits on site, and taking on apprentices and placement students.

It has been a great year and we want to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Now for a bit of admin…

Our offices will be closed for Christmas from 5pm Friday 19th December and they will reopen on Monday 5th January. Until then, we wish you all a happy and safe festive season/new year!
