With sheet piling works now complete, the project has entered its final, critical phase. Our team has shifted its focus to the demolition of the historic tar tank - a key step towards achieving full formation level across the site.

Our current works are centred on controlled tank break-out and product removal, with a strong emphasis on odour management and environmental control. A fully enclosed encapsulation tent is being installed to provide a sealed working environment, supported by mitigation systems to manage emissions and maintain safe working conditions for our team on the ground.

Alongside this, the remaining arisings are being excavated and removed to reach the final excavation depth, while ensuring high standards of safety, logistics coordination and site control as the project progresses toward completion.
